“…the character of the human condition…is "ambiguity": the inseparable mixture of good and evil, the true and false, the creative and destructive forces-both individual and social”

- Paul Tillich

What is this publication about?

This writing project is dedicated to uncovering how we can live meaningfully and lead a purpose driven existence amidst the mediated noise and meme-driven chatter of the digital world.

Think of it as a roadmap leading towards good literature and ideas on living a rewarding life. On occasion, I also discuss the craft of writing and provide insights into what has worked for me.

What you get when you Subscribe?

  1. High-quality writing honed from over a decade of professional experience as a researcher and author.

  2. A carefully curated treasure trove of intellectual analysis.

  3. Nuanced opinion that considers both sides of every argument. A rare commodity these days.

  4. Lateral thinking. I sit with uncomfortable ideas and meticulously unpack them for your reading pleasure.

  5. The opportunity to have one to one email conversations with me on ideas and ways to develop your writing and analysis. No topic is too trivial and no writer’s block is unsurpassable.

Who am I?

Without going into anything too existential, I’m Josh and I reside in the beautiful city of Melbourne, Australia. I work as a senior data science analyst for a large corporation and write for Wait! Just Listen during the weekends. I love to write and speak. I have published in over 20 peer-reviewed academic journals on various topics relating to political communicationscience communication, computer programming, digital media, climate change, international development and foreign policy. I have also spoken at over 50 conference events and dialogue sessions on an array of socio-cultural topics and their interconnections with data and analytics. None of these scholastic exploits really matter but I want you to know that I am passionate about fostering sincere and robust discussion on issues that matter. I go the full mile in every intellectual journey.
