I think it's one of the reasons I eased away from social media--I'm a very slow thinker, so don't always know what I think about something for days or weeks or however long, but also the pressure to have an opinion about everything--even good things!--is high and doesn't feel quite healthy. Thanks for the response! I agree social media cheapens the value of considered thought and expression and relegates the importance of active listening. I find it unsettling to offer an opinion on say Twitter without careful deliberation. There is joy in dissecting ideas slowly!
A wonderful read that has trotted the whole globe of various thought processes of the people, but yet, written succinctly and captivatingly in a relatively short article. I enjoyed the article on the whole, but with one part in particular, that reads:"There is obviously a sense of self-inflicted hypocrisy in me having an opinion about not having an opinion, ......"
